We are looking forward to the contest and hearing from other schools.

Barneveld School Group B

We are the other half of the Barneveld seventh grade. Teachers might say we are a little bit noisier than the other group. We are pretty sports crazy and we love to compete. We are looking forward to meeting the other teams and beating the other half of our class.

Naches Valley Middle School Team A

Hello,

Naches Valley Middle School is located in Central Washington State, in the United States of America We live in an agricultural area where we are known for our Apples, Wine Grapes, and Hops.  We live close to the Cascade Mountain Range, and have access to lots of outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, skiing. It’s a good place to live.

Our community is small.  There are about 500 students in our school, consisting of grades 5 through 8.  To get to the nearest “big city” we have to drive for at least two hours.

Naches Valley Middle School Team B

Hi,

If you like skiing, hunting, hiking, camping, eating fruit fresh from the tree, Naches Washington is for you.  But, you had better like freezing cold winters with lots of snow, and extremely hot dry summers where you cook in 100 degree heat, or you might not like it here.

Our school, Naches Valley Middle School, is small.  Most of the students start school together in kindergarten and continue with the exact same students until we graduate high school.  There are only about 100 students in each grade level.  Our school has grades 5 through 8, so that’s about 400 students.

School #8 – Sevastopol, Crimea

Hello! We are from Sevastopol, Crimea. In the past Crimea belonged to Russia, and Sevastopol was the main port of Russian warships.  The city faced several invasions of different enemies, defended bravely and won all the wars.  That’s why Sevastopol is proud of its title “The Hero City”.  In 1992 after the collapse of the USSR the Crimea and Sevastopol were included into the Ukrainian territory.  But Russian ships are still in the port of Sevastopol and Russian people are the most part of the population.  Many tourists visit our city and call it an open-air museum, because there are many famous monuments, memorials and historical  places which native citizens are proud of.  They say the city influences the people’s character and personality greatly.  Perhaps Sevastopol has influenced the members of our team. All of us are self-reliant, curious, tough and purposeful people and we want to win.

Each of us is keen on learning English, so we’ve decided to take part in this game. We want all participants to have a good interesting game that will give them positive emotions and new useful knowledge.
