Virtual Vacation Project:

http://virtual-vacation.wikispaces.com/

The 23 students in 8A of Mrs. Allen's Computer Class met 4 students from the Lovgardet School in Sweden to begin their project.  They used Skype to work in small groups.  1-2 students from Sweden worked with 4-6 students from Illinois.  They worked on a Google Doc in small groups to brainstorm places they would like to travel.  After choosing one destination, they will map out their travels and start packing!

All student have made a packing list:  http://virtual-vacation.wikispaces.com/3.+What+will+you+pack%3F

Next, they determine their traveling expenses using a Google Spreadsheet:  http://virtual-vacation.wikispaces.com/4.+Traveling+Expenses

After, they will name their tourist attractions:  http://virtual-vacation.wikispaces.com/5.+Tourist+Attractions

Finally, they will create a brochure, presentation or video to "sell" their vacation:  http://virtual-vacation.wikispaces.com/6.+Culminating+Activity
