Our school - Solkan Elementary School

Our school has a long tradition. It was established 145 years ago in a small and old town called Solkan.  We are active in many international projects so we use computers a lot and sometimes also chat with worldwide friends.

The school district is quite big, so our schoolmates come from not only Solkan, but also from the villages near by.
Our school has also two branch-schools, one in Grgar and the other in Trnovo, but there are only first four classes of elementary school. Each school has its own kindergarten, too.

There are about 598 students and about 120 children in the kindergartens. We are quite successful at school and in different competitions. We have good results in sports and other performances and we are proud of our successful chorus. Each year more than 30 groups of interests are successfully organized and attended at our school. After school we can join different activities organised by our school: extra lessons of different school subjects, different clubs, sports activities, circles etc...

This year our school opened an additional part of the building for canteen, a spacey dressing room, a classroom and a staff room.
