Hello Everybody!
It's really nice to meet you all for the 5th time. Jinaraja Model Primary School is located in a beautiful surrounding in the Central Province Sri Lanka. There are 790 students in our school and it is a boys' school. We do different activities in the school to mould the students in a proper way with good personality. Kidlink activities really help us in building up their personality.
Since our students had their vacation we met online to discuss about the project.

- There are marvelous relationships between the animals below water. can you guess any?

- Do you like dolphins? Can you tell us some facts about them?
- Can you tell us some adaptations that aquatic animals have, to protect from enemies?
- Do you think it's our duty to conserve these animals?
- As a school child how do you contribute to conserve them?

- What is the closest ocean or sea to your country?
- The closest ocean to our country is the Indian Ocean. It is a small island surrounded by it.
- Do you have an exit to a sea?
- Our country is a beautiful island. Therefore we have so many exits to the sea.
- What interesting marine life do you have in your country?
- There is a vast diversity in Marine life in our country. There are sharks, blue whales, turtles, crab fish , squids, clown fish, cat fish, ray fish and corals.
- What dangers does your marine life have?
- There are many dangers for marine life. Seas are polluted by many ways.It is harmful for marine life.
- Oil spills and dumping of ship generated waste in ocean cause serious environmental and economic damage.
- What achievements does your country have in fighting against water pollution?
- Our country has been able to minimize water pollution in a large scale and almost all the people get fresh drinking water. There are water treatment plants to purify water in Sri Lanka.
- What lakes are inhabited by different fish in your country?
- Not only lakes there are lots of inland fishery resources in Sri Lanka. They are estuaries, lagoons, reservoirs, tanks and brackish water ponds.
- How does your country solve water pollution problems?
- There are responsible authorities to solve water pollution problem in Sri Lanka. They are the Central Environmental Authority and Marine Environment Protection Authority.
- What exotic fish do you have in your country?
- Thilapia is an exotic fish in Sri Lanka.
- What fish is the most expensive in your country?
- The most expensive fish is Sheer fish.
- What is the tastiest fish in your country?
- The tastiest fish is Mullet.
