CBTis No. 66 - Mexico

Hello dear colleagues!

Greetings from the coastal State of Veracruz, in  Mexico.

We live in a city called Tierra Blanca, a warm place that has earned the nickname "The Sun's bride". We are just 1 hr away from the Gulf of Mexico, but in a basin created by several rivers. Hence, the temperatures.

We are a Technological High School in the south region of the state.
Our name is Centro de Bachillerato Tecnológico Industrial y de Servicios No. 66, but everybody calls us CBTis 66, for short.

This insitution forms students in core subjects for the freshmen. Junior and senior students take on one of the five available programs: Support and Maintenance of Computer Equipment, Electricity, Accounting, Programming and Industrial Production of Food.
Each class has 50+ students, so it is a large school. The population is 1,500 students.

The participating class is called 1I, and they are part of the Support and Maintenance of Computer Equipment program.  Many of them have never participated on an international project or have interaction with someone using English as a lingua franca.
Their level of English is Basic, but they are thriving to learn it.

This is the second time our institution participates on DD, and we are truly happy to be part of its 2019 Fall session.

Looking forward to working with our sister schools in Taiwan, Russia and the UK
