Montessori Figueres School |
We are the Montessori Figueres School located in Girona, Spain.
We are the eldest students in the school, which starts from babies from 6 months of age and goes all the way through all the group ages until ours that is between 12 and 16 years old.
The 37 of us participating in this project are students of two different classrooms. One group is the classroom called Llevant (the eastern wind) and the other one is Ponent (the western wind). In our school we are more than a classroom, we are a community. Therefore, Llevant is the youngest community with members from 12 and 13 years old. And Ponent is the eldest community with members from 14 to 16 years old.
We speak Catalan and Spanish as native languages and English and French as foreign languages. We learn English with Iria and Laura and last year with Melanie as well, and we can also speak English with our tutors because most of them speak it fluently.
However, we look forward to participating in this project because we will be able to practise our English with students from another country. Also we like the idea of exchanging the drawings and seeing how well they reflect our faces and personalities. How funny it will be!!
