This time we had Jurors
from England, Latvia, India and Singapore.
We are happy to be able to share Lavinia Tan's comments with you. (Her
votes (p) are in brackets):
"IcaroS- Brazil (10p): I love this. Very realistic view of what is going on
today.Pretty sure that is what a lot of people are thinking. Me included.
I like this machine.
BarbaraBas- Italy (11p): So much truth in this lovely picture. Yes, we
humans destroy peace and it is up to us to make peace. And it could be
something as simple as 4 individuals on a road trip to promote peace.
NicoleAb- Italy (7p): Interesting prestation. Would love to know why she
included the time element with the slight "forward jump" in time. And why
5 mins? It would be interesting to hear her thoughts on that. To me, if I
read it correctly, it is true, making peace can take as little as a second
given the desicion one makes.
Diana(ArdeleanA)- Romania (12p) "I love the quote by the artist. It is a
refreshing interpretation and presentation of both the theme and the
reality of the situation real-life. Simple, yet intensely captured. She
really had it right smack on the nail! Well done and most deserving of NO
1."
Lavinia Tan,
Singapore.
Lavinia also gave AditiL and AnnaSn
high scores. She also enjoyed looking at the other entries. She found they
might have interesting colores, shapes, but the idea of something
this machine can produce, generate and how just turn out peace she felt is not all
that clear. They present elements of peace like the dove, flowers
but lacks the theme subject.
Thank you all for
sharing your thoughts and visual creativity!!!

This was the challenge:
"We need Peace in our home, among
friends, in school and in the world.
Please dream and use
your imagination to help us all in this difficult process.
What can a Peace Machine consist of? Well, you
might end up with something unbelievable,
but YES your drawing can make us think and dream together..
Maybe draw yourself as if using it... maybe with friends or family...
?
Use any technique you like.
You can draw cartoons or make animations or collage.
You can use
symbols but Please: NOT WORDS."
