When I
have
a
dream
was created, some interactive web pages were stored on an external server.
Rather than let I
have
a
dream
link directly to this external server, developers let them go to a set of
redirection pages at
http://www.kidlink.net/dream/redirect/.
Their only purpose is to connect visitors to the program's interactive pages
immediately, wherever these pages might be.
The advantage is that
the work required to move the external pages to http://www.kidlink.net is
very small. No translator efforts will be needed. A quick search-replace
in the /redirect/ area, and we're done.
Guidelines for translators
All redirect pages will remain at
http://www.kidlink.net/dream/redirect/. Do not translate the
directory links pointing to these files.
File names linking
to english language pages will contain the string "-eng", as in
http://www.kidlink.net/dream/redirect/join-eng.html.
When translations of interactive pages exist, this string will be changed
accordingly. Example: The redirect page for the Norwegian version of
join-eng.html will be called join-no.html, and this page will also
be stored in the /dream/redirect/ directory.
Creation and maintenance
of all files at /redirect is handled by
Odd de Presno.
