The Global Kidlink
Translations Project

For English-language students 17 - 19 years of age

Contents

Translate real-life webpages from English into your preferred language. Your students' translations will be posted as webpages on Kidlink's website to serve users in this language.
Check translated texts with automated spell checkers. Optionally, correct hyperlinks so that they point to already translated pages whenever available.
Translated texts will be delivered to the preferred language area's management as simple text, or optionally as html pages.

Benefits for your students

Recognition: the translator's name will be added at the bottom of each translated page.
Students looking for more real-life practice are invited to join Kidlink's volunteer translations team.

Benefits for teachers

The pages to translate are relatively simple. Delivery within a month's time is usually fine. This makes it easier to schedule the task in your class' schedule.
You are invited to network with Kidlink's volunteer translations team as an adult member, to share experiences, coordinate work.

Hints

If your class has students with experience in .html (i.e., writing web pages), consider asking them to help the other students check hyperlinks for correctness.
