Era un día de primavera. Doña Lourdes la mamá de Plotón y Benjamín estaba preparando galletitas de limón. La casita de ellos tres era una bolsita de la casa Arte, y hacía mucho tiempo que no salían de allí.
Se sentaron en la mesa y se sirvieron las galletitas de limón, pero como siempre Plotón las devoró en un segundo y el pobre Benjamín como era muy lento y la mesa era muy alta no se sirvió ni una sola. Pobre el siempre perdía. Todos pensaban que él era muy bobo pero no lo era. El venía pensando decirle a Plotón para jugar a una corre-caminata en un corre camino. Lo propuso y él aceptó.
Al otro día se pusieron las pilas en marcha. Comenzó la carrera Plotón. Como era vivo le pidió a una liebre que le llevara. Y Benjamín con sus dos piecitos emprendió viaje. Cuando Plotón llegó al final ya estaba Benjamín y le dijo: yo llegué por mis propios medios sin hacer trampa. Y tú perdiste por tramposo. Querido hermano quiero que esto te deje un mensaje: EL QUE TIENE CONSTANCIA LLEGA

It was a spring day. Miss Lourdes, Ploton's mother and Benjamin were preparing lemon cookies. The house of these three was a little pocket of the Art museum. It was a while since they had not gone out.
They sat at the table and served themselves lemon cookies. As usual Polton ate them all in one second and poor Benjamin, because he was very slow and the table was high, did not have even one cookie. The poor thing always lost. Every one thought that he was a fool but he was not. He was thinking about asking Ploton to race him. He asked him and he accepted.
The next day they set out on the road. Because Ploton had money he asked a cab to take him. Benjamin with his two little coins set out on the trip. When Polton arrived at the end of the journey Benjamin already was there. He said to him - "I arrived by my own means without cheating. You lost because you cheated. Dear brother I hope that this will teach you a lesson. HE WHO IS DETERMINED WILL ARRIVE.
