Welcome to Kidlink Windows to the Universe, Kidlink's Multi User Virtual
Space or MUVS. The Kidlink MUVS runs on the C2d application software. Continuum
2DTM is a multimedia object-oriented MUVS for use with a browser. It is designed to support on-line collaboration
between students and educators. Participants practice language skills,
acquire technology skills, and communicate with others in this global virtual
"environment". It is a site for:
- Collaborative projects
- Multimedia
presentations
- Student
exploration
- Problem-solving
- Communication
and role-playing
- Student-directed
construction within the virtual environment
- Creation and display of student projects.
Kidlink members may participate simultaneously in a virtual environment
that never ends and explore a series of user-created adventures designed
for learning about language arts, math/science and social studies/history.
C2d is a persistent universe, in which participants can enter and exit
and the world continues to persist and evolve in their absence.
