- Groupware: Digital Communication Design

Rio Internet TV <http://www.inf.puc-rio.br/~refletor/> is a research nucleus within the Software Engineering Laboratory at PUC-Rio. Its main objective is to study the use of videoconference as a tool for cooperation in groupwork. Rio Internet TV has a CU-SeeMe reflector at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro which is the first public reflector in Brazil. It started its operations in early 94. It is a mature reflector receiving hundreds of visitors everyday. It has a companion web site <http:www.inf.puc-rio.br/~refletor> which is a major source of information for the Brazilian CU-SeeMe community-there is also general information about videoconferencing. There, one can find all the information needed to download and to use CU-SeeMe software, reflector and accessories, and find out who is currently connected to the reflector.

- Learningware: Aprendizado Cooperativo

AulaNet™ <http://www.les.inf.puc-rio.br/aulanet/> is an environment for the creation and maintenance of web-based courses designed for the layman. The objectives of AulaNet are to adopt of the Web as an educational enviroment; to foster a workable transition from conventional classrooms to virtual classrooms, giving the opportunity to reuse existing educational material and to create knowledge communities.
