15 Minute WAI Presentation - Presenter Notes

A few suggestions:
  1. Print the notes in landscape mode if necessary.
  2. Staple your notes together.
  3. Use colored markers for highlighting essential text.

  1. "Who Am I?" is an educational program for youth.
  2. It supports curriculum standards.
  3. It is student centered.
  4. It offers support for teachers.

Here you see the big picture of the "Who Am I?" Program that I will try to explain to you in 15 minutes. WAI puts students at the heart of their own learning while supporting teachers and curriculum standards.

What is the WAI Program?
  1. WAI extends over 8 months
  2. WAI is scheduled for Northern and Southern Hemispheres.
  3. WAI includes 6 modules translated into several languages.

8 month program can be integrated in a school year and fits the two hemispheres' typical school years. However, teachers are free to use individual modules in either schedules as it fits best. Designed to be flexible. Translated for ease of use. Topics in the 6 modules are of interest to young people.

How does it support curriculum standards?

WAI enhances all curriculum areas but it is not a curriculum plan in itself. Here are a few samples from actual student work in WAI. Would you like to see some of these examples?
