The
Grandmother project
Students from around the world are encouraged to tell everyone
the word for "grandmother" in their language, ways they spend time (or did
spend time) with their grandmother and why she is very special. Different
topics are suggested for each month of the year. Ongoing in several
languages.
Migration Information:
Glimpses of migrant populations, their reasons for moving, and their
rates of assimilation into host countries. Data is available for western
European countries, Australia, and the US.
Mythology and
folklore:
Definitions of gods and goddesses, supernatural beings, and
legendary creatures and monsters from all over the world.
Historical
Text Archive: Articles, books, maps,
and photographs on various subject categories, including genealogy, history,
religion, rock-n- roll, wars, and women's studies.
Best of History Websites:
Links to over 700 history-related Web sites rated on a one to five
star scale. Prehistory, Ancient/ Biblical, Medieval, US History, Early Modern
European, 20th Century, World War II, Art History, General Resources, and
Maps.
