How to help kids see messages
 sent by other kids?
...And interact with them?

Art by Ileana Surducan, Romania

The Who-Am-I? discussion is done through messages sent to a mailing list. The list is like a virtual classroom where students share ideas.
  1. Your students join the KidCom room for students in the language they are going to participate. Example: Who-am-I? English  is the room for students participating in English.
  2. After having joined the room, they will start receiving the messages of the teacher in charge of the "virtual classroom" and other students around the world participating in the discussion.  They can what the others say, start send their own messages to the room. They should stick to the theme being discussed.
  3. You may want them to be aware you are following their discussion.
  4. Students will learn about other students and their cultures. This is an excellent opportunity for them to learn about tolerance, present opinions with respect,  and respect  each other's opinions.
