Recognizing key KHouse people. Fortaleza, Brazil, 2001

Kidlink's Role In KHouse Projects

Kidlink is a virtual knowledge network organized by language areas, not by country or geography. Our main contribution to a new KHouse project will be knowledge and experience, rather than operative responsibility.

We bring a comprehensive model, an approach, online infrastructure, and a human support network to the project. Typically, work will be distributed between Kidlink and a local partner as follows:

Kidlink Fundraising, overall financial management
Advice
Training
Research
Overall program follow-up, and reporting
Local partner Local project management
Purchasing
Payroll, local financial management
KHouse staff recruiting
Sub-contracting of translators
Hardware, software, network services
Supplemental training (beyond Kidlink's
application training.
KHouse management Day-to-day operations
Make sure the KHouse is filled with target users
