Rights?
Working children |
Activities - 1st. Session
We will begin this session with a talk introducing
the children to what is a "Right" , what rights do we have and what is the
meaning of having respect for the rights of others. What are the things that
every child should have?
-
Separate class in small groups. Each group make
a drawing of a child on a big paper. Give a name to your new child.
-
What special qualities do you want that person
to have when he/she grows up? Write those qualities in a circle around the
figure. You could add qualities like health, good education and happiness.
-
Make drawings of these qualities and paste them
around the child inside the circle. You could use pictures cut from magazines
or newspapers to show the qualities.
-
Inside the figure of the child write the rights
the child will need in order to grow into the adult you have described. You
will need proper food and education. What else? Return to the Act of Rights
and see what rights are necessary to fill the needs that your imaginary child
would need during childhood.
