The objective is to reach three principal groups, non-institutionalized kids working the streets, institutionalized street kids, and school children. As each of these groups has their very unique characteristics, we have programmed different activities for each of them.

Our activities go from programming in the K-Houses to days of joint activities out of the city, all these directed to enrich the intellectual, emotional and spiritual life of our children.

The approval of kids, teachers, educators and parents to the program is very good in this first semester of 2003. We could make the children participating in our KHouse feel that the place is a space where they learn, have fun, and also prepares them  to be part of a more fair society.

Teachers have greatly improved their skills in computer use and are very happy with the improvement of their students in reading-writing; parents come to the KHouse to ask for a space for their other children going to the same school, but in different grades and not participating in the Kidlink program. They ask for this because of the academic results they perceive from this type of learning.

We have establish RULES for our KHouse, in which we account for the computer maintenance, discipline and cleanliness. We also have a KIDLINK BULLETIN BOARD where we post important announcements, news, photos, planning of subsequent months, birthdays and some of the most relevant works. (see photo).

Currently, KHouse Alalay works with the following groups of children:

Group 1 Alalay (males and females), 60 kids - Sample works

Group 2 School. Mariscal Santa Cruz ,   37 kids  - Sample works

Group 3 School.. Ismael Montes, 29 kids  - Sample works

Grupo 4 School.. España, 19 kids   - Sample works

Grupo 5 EL PUENTE , 25 kids

Since May, we added a new 6th group of street children (shoe cleaners). They come regularly two times a week. Right now, we are working with them in the answering of the four Kidlink questions, teaching them to use the computer, and navigate the Internet. This group will participate in the Who-Am-I? Program directly on the Third Module: What are my Rights?, as this module goes well in answering their questions and filling their needs.
