Exhibition-FairThe Exhibition-Fair of the children works was programmed for days Thursday and Friday. First day we had a superb start. Suddenly the weather got bad. We had to disassembly everything and transport to a safe place. An hour later, the sun was shining brightly...you can't imagine how sad we were. At the end of the second day, after we finished the exhibition, our Internet Cafe customers helped us pack and get everything back in place. We realized that they feel part of the Project. Meeting with the Parents and FamilyIn one of the meetings with Escuela España, most of the parents assisted to the KHouse, where they saw the works of their children. In that session we talked about the work that we do and the value of the family. Parents were very happy to see that their children had the opportunity of having the computer as a learning tool and that they were the privileged of Escuela España. They want their children to continue with the program next year. Escuela Mariscal Santa Cruz-Escuela España-Escuela Ismael MontesEven though the Escuela Mariscal Santa Cruz finished the school year on November 3rd, Prof. Esther Candia is still assisting to the KHouse with her students on their usual time and days. They are doing the 4th module "My Family and Friends". This shows the compromise and interest of Prof. Esther to continue with the program without any doubt. Escuela España is at the end of the school year, Prof. Carmela is assisting with their students only once a week at a different time. This at the same time shows interest of Prof Carmela and her students to continue with the program. Children from Escuela Ismael Montes have been absent from the KHouse for three weeks. This happens because Prof Sergio was late finishing the required school curriculum. He asked to continue the work on the KHouse during school vacations. Professor was concerned about not completing the program, but he and his students will continue when school is over. Alalay (home for boys)- Marcelina(home for girls)Our boys are late finishing the 4th module because at this time of the year they also produce christmas cards. But we are working, slowly getting there. Girls from Marcelina are also producing Christmas cards, but with them we are working on time. We have 4 new girls. Two of them do not know how to read, but they are very eager to learn. We decided to do the modules with them using drawings. Five girls from Marcelina enter a textile training and cannot assist at the regulaar time to the KHouse. We made space at a date and time when they can continue with the program. Some words about Karuza, she was very touched by the comment to her page in the Rights module and wanted to write back. This girl is eager to learn and puts her heart on her work. Buenos Amigos (Good Friends are a group of boys that work in the street shining shoes)Our "Buenos Amigos" are very helpful and cooperate a lot with us. They helped on the exhibition, carrying and taking care of the exhibition panels. The name of "Buenos Amigos" goes very well with them. They are doing the 4th module. Last week Patricio showed them how to use the chat and now they always want to chat.
