Opening A Kidlink KHouse: Typical Work Plan

| Español |

Within Kidlink, opening a KHouse may be part of a larger project, like developing educational activities and resources in a new language. It may also be done in cooperation with an NGO, or some other organization.

This template starts with fundraising, and the creation of the physical KHouse itself. Subsequent items are about contents, training, and how to start the work with the kids:

1 Fundraising

2   Provide Internet access
In cooperation with local Internet cafés, or by opening Kidlink House telecenters in areas where access to the Internet is not available.

3 Translate Who-Am-I?
Lesson plans
Infrastructure information (How to use the Kidlink network)
Workshop for teachers

4 Introduce teachers to networking
In their own and other desired languages.

5 Arrange teacher workshops
About use of Who-Am-I? in the classrooms

6 Introduce Who-Am-I? to students

7 Publish student contributions
To build new contents in their language. To support discussions with peers in other cultures. To exchange ideas and best practices.
