Teachers say it is difficult to make students 10 - 15 years of age to focus on school. Many children say school is neither meaningful nor relevant. Bridges must be built between teachers' instructional goals and students' required relevance. Bridges may be built using student-centered e-learning that is based on each individual child's life and goals.

How?

  1. Provide e-learning equipment for the students (computers with Internet).
  2. Train teachers in the use of Kidlink's educational programs to reach curricular goals
  3. Publish information about the educational project, and its realized results

Step 1: Planning

  1. Information to and training of educational authorities
  2. Budget
    • Translate life-skills training and curriculum connection contents into local language
    • Provide computers and access to the Internet
    • Teacher training
    • Monitor (research) the program's effect on the children and their lives
  3. Discuss recommendations with sponsor(s)
