Proposed approach to empower aboriginal youth

  1. Give aboriginal youth a reason to use their language in written communications with others
  2. Help them build pride of their culture and language
  3. Help them build knowledge of themselves, their place, rights, families, friends, roots
  4. Help them build contents in their language about their culture's history and characteristics
  5. Give them an audience of youth around the world eager to learn about their culture
  6. Help teachers motivate them to learn the subjects of the curriculum:
    writing, research, social studies, history, geography, foreign languages, economics, mathematics, science, the arts, current awareness, as well as personal development, Internet networking skills, information and communications technology skills
