|  Background image | You can select a picure from any place on Kidlink's site to use as a background image on your pages. As long as the link to the picture contains a valid link address to one of the kidlink.org sites, you will be able to select it. For example, the picure of Olga above is stored at http://www.kidlink.org/english/general/faq/olga.jpg. Your challenge is to find a picture that is big enough to fill enough of the screen, and also to find one with nice colors. One place to look up is our Gallery. You may also try a Google image search using "site:kidlink.org" as your search term. For example, if you want the picture at http://www.kidlink.org/gallery2/d/6415-2/Flawers1.jpg as background, paste the image's link into the Settings field called Background image. Click "Test" to see the effect on the settings page. | | Colors | | You select colors for the various parts of your pages by specifying color codes. For example, the color used on the bar above has the code #FFFFAE. To find color codes to use, try select from the Color Chart Pickers page |  Instant Messaging | | If you see a by a person's name, you can click at it invite the person to a private chat (also called "Instant Messaging"). Some users find Instant Messaging annoying. Click at "No" to make it impossible for others to contact you in this way. | | | Language | | KidCom lets you select a language for display of menus and help texts. By setting your language choice, KidCom will remember it when you log in. | | | Photos and art | Add photos taken of you, and pictures of drawings, sculptures, or some other art that you have made. Such pictures will tell more about you than you can say in words.
Do not add photos of others, like of a pop star or actress, as they may make your friends think the photos are of you.
Do not add photos or pictures you find on the net as these are often copyrighted, and illegal to use.
