1. When & why did you join Kidlink?

I joined Kidlink in 1994 mainly to allow me to be involved with KIDCAFE and
Kidlink IRC.  I have always been interested in the 'other' and data
communication technology gave me the ability to connect with many other
people of the same age worldwide.  I soon became involved with KIDCAFE
reorganization and with management of Kidlink IRC.  I also met many lifelong
friends whom I correspond with today. Later, following my ineligibility to
remain directly involved with KIDLINK as a participant I became the manager
of the LISTSERV mailing lists and oversaw the transition to multiple
    language-based mailing list

2. What was you duty on the Kidlink Board of Directors?

I was the board member for the Pacific Rim region.  I must admit that I
don't remember much of what this meant.

3. What are you views of the world today, as opposed to when you joined
     Kidlink?

In my answer to the KIDLINK 4 questions I wrote as a 15 year old "I think
that if we can all learn to work together for mutual happiness then that
would be a great accomplishment. In my lifetime I hope to see kids using
computers as part of their daily routine..and imperticular the InterNet.".

I was surprised to re-read these words recently, when a friend, Steve Edney,
sent me a personal email saying that he'd found my answer email to the four
questions and that I'd written this.  He made the comment "WOW! look what I
found! You were hyper-active even back when you were 16! I've never known
anyone to do SO many things at once as YOU!!!!! UNBELIEVABLE"

KIDLINK showed me that connecting with people effects change.  I changed as
I sought, in the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, 'to understand rather than
to be understood'.  I think that this remains a potential key to unlocking
    the chains of oppression worldwide.

4. What are you doing now?

I am now 25, married, with three children, a
career in Nursing with a post-graduate dual emphasis on International health
and development and gerontology (aged care).  I am also studying a Law degree

    part-time.
