"Kidlink - Global Networking for Youth"

On October 20-21, 1997, a big public Kidlink seminar is taking place in Copenhagen. Key Kidlink managers and educators from many countries will present experiences within the field of Information and Communication Technology in Education. The seminar takes place on the Royal Danish School of Educational Studies, (Danmarks Lærerhøjskole), in Copenhagen.

Since the beginning in 1990, around 100,000 kids from 109 countries on all continents have participated in Kidlink activities.

Introduction

The themes of the two days are: The seminar will be open to all interested educators, school administrators, politicians and others interested in Kidlink and the integration of ICT in the schools. Information regarding registration/participation is available here.

Working language will primarily be English. Some presentations also in Danish/Spanish/Portuguese, but with interpretations when needed.

The Kidlink Conference is hosted by the Danish Ministry of Education, and has also been adopted as the Danish main event for the Netd@ys Europe 1997, launching the European School Network, EUN - supported by the European Commission.


Internal Manager's Meeting

Before the public Seminar, the Kidlink project is having it's 3rd International Manager's Meeting. This meeting is scheduled for the days October 16-18, 1997.The site for the internal meeting is the Højgården Course Centre of the Municipality of Gladsaxe, 13 km from Copenhagen City.
