This is from Pali.
Pali (Age: 9) has a lot of paintings on her hand, she has a peculiar habit, her mom says. Whatever she sees, she tries to put it down on the paper.
When I met her, the camp was busy with blood-donation activity and she wanted to draw it. If she has, I'll try to collect it.
This painting was done on the next day of the earthquake. The one we're sending is a fresh one but the same one, done up again (no changes) a few days after. She was also interviewed by the local papers for this painting.
Here is what she says about this painting - This painting is named `Earthquake'. These are the buildings with cracks. Two tall yellow buildings have developed cracks. And the third short yellow building has sunken in the ground. In the middle, one building has fallen down and these are the rumbles. A boy is buried in the debris and the standing man is rescuing him.
This is what she had sent to the Who-Am-I list.

  1. My name is Pali Makwana. I am a strong girl.
  2. I want to become a Pilot.
  3. I like the people simple and good.
  4. I will serve the others.
