Kidlink
Gregor Bas
has replaced Alenka Makuc as the Slovenian Language area manager. He is also
the
KIDCAFE-SLOVENSKI
list manager, the translator and the Slovenian web page master. So beside
his teaching at Elementary school, he is active all over the places.
In the Danish language area, veteran Kidlinker Bent Karkov
has been
promoted to the language area manager allowing Claus Berg to focus
on his top team tasks.
Recently, we received
a very exciting newspaper supplement from Mexico. It has been recorded in
our bibliography database in these
words:
Un-dos-tres por mí. La Jornada, January 29, 2000. "Suplemento
para niñas y niños: En la Calle." 8 pages about the Casa
Hogar Alternativa Callejera, a Kidlink
House in Mexico City, and their activities. Great texts, photos, drawings,
etc.
Recently, we were told that our Spanish language web
"designated a Cool Site in the Netscape Open Directory."
The
Kidlink
Society 2000
The Kidlink Society is Kidlink's
owner.
Soon, the Annual
Meeting will begin. This is a one hundred percent online event. Discussions
and votes take place on a private mailing list for members only. The meeting
involves people living geographically very far apart, and typically takes
months to complete.
All interested
persons, regardless of age, and organizations can become a member.
Click here, if you want to sign
up. (Being a member is not required to enjoy Kidlink's free services!)
Volunteers wanted
Kidlink offers
its volunteers recognition,
opportunities to learn, good friends around the world, and the satisfaction
of doing something that matters to our future generations. Many of our volunteers
have used their involvement to support applications for new jobs. Besides,
it is fun to help kids!
If you want to
help, see the "Do you want to support
us?" page, or write the coordinator
for your language area. If you want to help produce this "newsletter,"
drop Odd de Presno a line.
