We have had participants from Great Britain since 1990. Every year! This response from Jonspartan Endulaso (11), which arrived in 2000, was selected because it is so nice. The reflective young man lives in Leicester Country, and attends the Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Educational Establishment school.

Who am I ?

I am a rather shy person, and therefore I enjoy using the internet as it allows me to have contact with people I would not otherwise dare to communicate with. I have quite a varied taste in music - from punk rock of the 1970s to Mozart - though at present I am listening to a lot of Shostacovich and Rachmaninov. i have a goldfish called Mr. Gerbil because I would love a gerbil but mummy says that I would be allergic to them. I like writing short stories and poems and I enjoy riding my horses, walking my dog and reading... I especially like Dostoyevsky and Kafka.

What Do I Want To Be When I Grow Up?

I would like to study the modern political history of Europe and Russia at school, but my teachers have said I will not be able to do that until I am fourteen at least. Therefore I am researching the subject at home and have found the menshevik philosopy of Trotsk very interesting. I would like to play the harp and study history when I am older.

How Do I Want The World To Be Better When I Grow Up?

Every night when my parents turn on the evening news I see pictures of war, destruction and suffering all over the world. I would like to live in a world where human rights, and those of our animal friends are respected by all. I would also like to see children allowed to progress through their studies according to their individual abilities, and not be restricted by their age so that they do not suffer the frustration and boredom of being held back.

What Can I Do Now To Make This Happen?

Firstly I would like to be a more confident person so that I could talk to adults about the way i would like the world to be and the things I would like to change. Then I would like to join some charities and activist groups through which I could make my voice heard. Perhaps I could work towards some skills that would be of use to the victims of war, like first aid and counselling.

Me llamo David vivo como quien diria en el fin del mundo, tengo 2 hermanas mallores que yo la mas grande se llama Noemi y mi otra hermana se llama Nancy. Soy morocho no muy alto, no me concidero lindo.
Yo voy a la E.P.E.T Nº1, voy a 7º grado, voy a una escuela secundaria por que lo del E.G.B y todo eso. Mis padres estan casados, no soy catolico soy Bahay no les deve sonar raro pero es para contarlees. Mi padre se llama Jésus y mi madre se llama Artemia espero que no se enoje por que estoy diciendo su nombre pero le dicen Ati.
Mi jovi es estar en la computadora, estudio conputación y pienzo estudiar injieneria en sistema, me gustan mucho los niños y me gusta ayudar. Me gusta la lectura y me gusta escrevir.

Yo quiero ser un injienero en computación.
Les cuento, yo no tenía computadora y por la tele, por formar pasaban el curso de word 97 y un día enpeze a lebantarme a la 10 de la mañana a berlo aunque no teviera computadora llegue a aprender todo, me gusta tanto la computadora que unn día agarre las revistas que traian sobre los programas de computacón y ice una carpeta.
Cuando me compraron la computadora no lo podia creer era yo estaba viendo el word en vivo y en directo me queria morir haci fue como mi padre me mando a computacion.
La educación me gusta ocea me gusta enseñar saben un día teniamos una prueba de ecuaciones y un compañero no entendía nada y yo le esplique y en la prueba se saco un siete y aprovo matemática.

Yo creo que la jente no se trata ni vien ni mal son pares, la jente ba muy apurada quieren ir a la belocidad de la luz y no pueden hay discriminacion, no se respetan los derechos humanos saben yo creo que cuando una persona esta haciendo algo malo deberia detenerce y decir _que estoy haciendo y pensarlo mejor.
El medio anbiente se esta fundiendo el hambre hace todas la cosas para el los animales ya no saben que hacer hay mucha suciedad tenemos algunas veces aprender de los animales.
Todos hemos alguna bez tirado un papel oensuciado no mientamos y pero desde un papel comienza todo.
