KIDLINKers, I'm very pleased to announce the KIDCAFE Photo Exchange. This will allow the participants in KIDCAFE to exchange photographs of themselves using the KIDART file area at NoDak. Ben Walter and other KIDCAFE kids are doing this themselves with just a little help from me to get the files stored. I'd rather let Ben explain all the details--his message to KIDCAFE explaining the exchange is attached below. Peace, Dan << Daniel D. Sender: KIDCAFE Youth Dialog People Of Earth, Your attention please... Yes, it's here! The all new KidLink Photo Exchange, at a ListServ near you! Some of you may remember me talking about this a while back. The photo exchange is a fiendishly cunning plan to let y'all see each others photos. What we are doing is storing peoples photos on computers, and then when you want to see what someone looks like, you just ask the computer to send you their picture. To find out more (and I'm sure you going to want to! ;->) you can EITHER send a message to listserv@vm1.nodak.edu containing the lines: GET KIDART PX-INFO GET KIDART ARTHELP Which will give you some information about the project, or, if you're not sure how to do that, just write me (my address is ben@tsunami.demon.co.uk, but if you can't get that to work just send it to KidCafe!) and i'll do all I can to help you. You don't need to have any special software already, the instructions will explain how to get software for your computer. Once you've got that part over and done with try getting my picture by sending this to listserv@vm1.nodak.edu: GET KIDART PXBENWAL I hope that many of you will join me in this exciting project! and if you've got any other questions, don't hesitate to write me! Peace, Ben PS If you know what you are doing and already have graphics viewing software, the files are stored as uuencoded GIFs. If you don't have a uudecode program, then the instructions I told you how to get will explain all! //\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\ > ben@tsunami.demon.co.uk < \ bjw@gnu.ai.mit.edu In the land of the night \ ben.walter@lambada.oit.unc.edu the ship of the sun is drawn by \ The Grateful Dead. \//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//\//
