(MarkH) Yes... maybe just an artwork exchange will work between individual schools... rather than trying to format and gather it for the world (maryez) My contact in Nome is no longer there. He is travelling around the world now. (MarkH) I think thee story starting idea is a neat one. (DanW) oh. writing is more difficult--if English is not your native language (DanW) some kid tried starting stories in KIDCAFE but they didn't go far (maryez) That's true and somehow the foreign kids are better at speaking and writing English than we are at a foreign language. I wish I could get some of the enthusiasm in our kids that I see evidenced in the work of kids from other countries. (richn) I help out by getting schools involved, running a few activities and by helping with problems on the listserver (richn) Does the University teach about Kidlink ? (liz) We just get the infor. about kid project and try to organize.. (richn) It would be good if the University taught teachers about the project. I know local schools that use it for kids to learn about other countries and about computers (liz) the university itself doesn't do with kid project but there are school under univ. will participate. It is secondary school (richn) GREAT - every little bit helps. You will find it fascinating to watch how the kids work and enjoy chat sessions like this.
