St. Ansgar is a small town in Northern Iowa it is only a few miles from the Minnesota border. Our town has a Casey's and two other gas stations. We have a pizza place, called Paradise Pizza, a great restraunt, Chuck's Sportsmans, and a bridal store, The Bridal Theatre, it was a theater a long time ago. We have alot of antique store, Cottage in the Country, Home Sweet Home, Cottage Sampler, Timeless Treasures, and Echos of the Past. Our schools serves St. Ansgar as well as Stacyville, Grafton, Otranto, Carpenter, Toterville, and Mona. There is a Catholic School in Stacyville but only a few Catholics go there. We have alot of churches too. Our town>is great for kids. We have a pool, a park and its great for Biking, rollerblading, and skate boarding. It's also only a mile from the river but the good thing is the town itself never floods because we're on a HUGE hill. People how come from big city usually complain that there's nothing to do. But I came from a big city and I love it. It feels like one big family type place. Everybody knows everybody in St. Ansgar. Come by some time if your ever in North Iowa.
