Why My Parents Named Me Brittany

My parents loved the name Brittany. My Mom thought it was not a popular name, because she did not want me to get confused with the wrong Brittany.

My name is Charles. I got my name because I was named after my father’s friend who died and I went to his funeral. He also was a lawyer and he owned some thoroughbred horses.

My first middle name (I have 2 middle names) is after my uncle. He lives with me and is employee at the Zachary company.
My 2nd middle name is after my great Uncle. He owns his own business.

I‘m Stanley I am 8 years old. I had got my name from my grandfathers because my dad’s father’s name was Stanley Lewis and my mother’s father’s name was Robert Senger and if you put them together you get my name, Stanley Robert Lewis.

My name is Lauren. I have my name because my mom and daddy searched the Baby Name Books and liked the names Lauren and Ashleigh. Then my parents added my mom and dad’s last name to make Lauren Asleigh Anderson. Lauren is also the name my grandmother wished she had.
Ashleigh is spelled the way it is because my mom’s middle name is Leigh.
The hospital wouldn’t let me go until I had a name.

I hope you thought it was interesting finding out how you got your names.

There are lots of different reasons, aren't there? If you had to name a baby, how would you do it? Would you pick a name because you liked it? Would you use a grandparent's name? A friend's name?

My little sister got her name because she nearly died when she was a baby! She was very sick in the hospital and my parents decided to call her Felicity because it means happiness. She didn't die and now she brings a lot of happiness to the people who know her;)
