From the United States

From Tamara McCulloch

Hello from the United States!
We have a Bill of Rights. They are the first 10 amendments of our Constitution.This is a very important document in our country. The first amendment is the freedom of speech. Do you have any official document like our Constitution or our Bill of Rights?

From Italy

From Luca and Andrea
I my opinion rights are a series of rules that regulate our social life. I think I have some rights, for example to go to school or have a doctor, play with my friends. Adults have others rights, for example they have the right to vote, to have jobs. Sometimes adults don't respect the children's rights: for example when they oblige the children at work or when they abandon the babies.
Bye bye, Luca and Andrea

Hi friends! I'm Manuela. I want to tell you something about my rights. What is a right? In my opinion a right is norm which disciplines social relationships.I think I have the rights of equality, of nutrition, etc.Adults have different rights from children. For example they have the rights of working, have a home, voting, etc. Sometime the adults don't respect the children's right: for example when they abandon the baby or when they make the children work. When my rights aren't respected I get angry. I'd love to find a new right. For example I'd love listen to pop music during the lessons but don't do this because I disturb the other boys and girls. I wish a Merry Christmas to everybody.
Bye bye Manuela

In my opinion a right is a need of human being. Life without rights is very bad.I think to have same rights as all other people.I think to have the right to:
Have leisure time;
Enjoy my holidays;
Be listened to by adults;
Be protected;
Sometimes adults don't respect the children's rights: for example when they exploit children for hard works or when they use aggressive ways and force them in doing bad things.
Andrea Sioli

Hi, I'm Roberta, I am 12 years old and I live in Milan. I want write you what means "rights" and what are this. A right is a group of lows that a person must and can have and make. In my opinion a right is something that I must have and every person must have these. I think I have the rights to have a house, a family, go to school and study, to play, to eat, Adults have other rights as children: they must have a job, they must vote, to be protected from state, from police, have a doctor. Sometimes adults don't respect the children's right: for example when they abandon the babes or when they oblige the children at work.
Roberta

Hello!!!! I'm Silvia and I'm twelve years old.I live in Muggi on Milan in Italy. In my opinion about rights is something due to all the people in order to have a good life.I think I must have the right to have a home, a family, to go to school, have friends. Adults have more rights than children. For example they have the right to vote, to have a job and to have a home. Sometimes adults don't respect the children's rights: for example when they abandon the babies or when they send children to work.
Bye Bye Silvia

What are rights? In my opinion a right is a series of rules that help us to integrate in a society. I think I must have the right to: go to school, play, be protected, and treated in case of illness. Adults have other rights as children: they can vote, work. Sometimes adults don't respect the children's rights: for example when they send children to work, instead of school, or when they abandon babies etc.
Ciao Matteo

THE RIGHTS
HI, In my opinion an important right is to be respected. I think the must have the rights to go to school and study, to play, to be happy, to be fed. Adults have different rights as children, for example to vote, to work, to be protected from the State. I think the rights are important for people of religions, languages and costumes. Sometimes adults don't respect the rights of children, for example when they abandon children or oblige them to work. I think I'm lucky and I have all the rights I need and they have never changed. Sometimes some people don't respect rights of other people, for example the Killer or other violent people. I like very much those who work to guarantee people's rights.
ALESSANDRO

In my opinion a right means to be sure to have the possibility to do something. I think I have the right to be respected, to learn and to go to school, to eat and to be safe. Sometimes adults don't respect the children's right, for example when they abandon a baby, when they oblige the children to work, or when they don't listen the children's necessities.
