I also am making my introduction to this list and felt compelled to respond to your message as we have a lot in common it seems. I felt some what overwelmed at getting myself organized and subscibed to the lists as well as my son, Corbin. My husband, myself and our two sons, Corbin age seven and Aidan age four live on a small organic hobby farm in the Cowichan Valley. We raise almost all our own meat and vegetables and enjoy many outdoor activities. We too are part of the E-bus program and this is how we found out about the Kidlink project. The boys and I are very excited to hear from other families out there and I am going to use your world map idea to get us started.

My name is Corbin Miller and I am 7. My mom is helping me write this to you. I am very interested in Japan and would like to visit your country one day. I live on Vancouver Island in British Columbia Canada. I live on a small farm with my mom and dad and little brother. We have all kinds of animals, rabbits, goats, cows and horses. I really like to garden and have my own Lily garden. Ibelong to the Penelakut band. We are Coast Salish people. I read a story about the native people of Japan who lived on one of the Northern islands. When I read some of the letters from kids in Japan they talked about pollution and wishing for nice open green places with flowers. We have lots of green around us.Trees and fields and flowers but we also have pollution too. We live very close to a pulp mill which has polluted the river where I live and fish.
