Dear all!! I live in Copenhagen, Denmark. I will like to tell you about my vacation in Toscana, Italy. Itīs the best vacation Iīve ever hat, and Italy have become my favorite coutry. We lived two weeks in a little fishingvillage named Castiglioni della Pescaia (it means something with a casttle and fishing). We spend a lot of time on the beach with sunbathing and bathing, and we held `Siestaī (in Italy they take a break in the mittle of the day called Siesta, inside of cause, because itīs so hot out side. Siesta means break in italian). We spend the time with playing, reading, eating or sleeping. We allso ate a lot of food. I love the italian food-style, itīs so relaxed. The fruits are a lot fresher, and cheeper. Watermelon, melon, mango, papaya, oranges, passionfruits and peaches. And the ice-cream is also very well known and VERY good. You can have it with the taste of almost everything: peach, lemon, passion, peppermint, apple ect. Iīm sure that I would be pretty fat if I lived there for a year! One day we took a trip to Rome, the capital. Here we saw a lot of monuments, f.i. the Chathedral of Sct. Peter,- we had to cover our arms and legs inside the church, because it was a holy place. It was enourmous. It was a fascinating experinece to be inside the biggest church in the world. Then we saw the Panenon, the Colosseum. It was also fan tastic, because it is so old and big. It is an exiting city with all its old sites and all its new life. It's hard to explain, but I'm sure, you'll understand me, if you have ever been there. Another thing to do is to rent a car for a day or two. We did that and took a journey round to the country ( only in Toscana). weed a little village , called Pitigliano, an da natural fountain, called Saturnia. We also were in Siena for a day, but it was too hot. ( 40 degr.C.in the shadow). This car-journey gave us an impression of how Toscana is and I love it.

Dear louise
Hi, my name is Mary. I am 11 years old.
What is your favorite sport? I like field hockey. Do you have brother or
sisters? I have one brother. He is 16 years old. Do you like pets? Do you have any pets? Well, O have to go now.
bye Mary
Dearest reader.
I would like to tell you about my journey to Crete, an Island in Greece, Europe. It was in 1996, and i was 12 years old (im 14 now). We flew over there, and landed on Chania, a city on Crete. My mother, and some of our very good and near friends. We were all travelling together.
We went by bus to a very nice hotel, that I would recognice for sure! The hotel was 2 sek. away from the sea. Actually it was by the sea. My mother and I had our own room, and our friends had their own appartment.
As you can guess, we baded every day. The water on Crete is all blue, the beatches are white, and the weather is hot. After four days, I was pretty scorched. That was really unpleasant!
We also saw sights. Among others Knossos, an antiquity palace. It is a
very beautiful place. You will see a picture of Knossos, with some
dolphins. Its from the queens bathroom.
On another picture you can see a monastery. In that monastery, you were
not allowed to have naked arms or legs, they had to be hidden. I dont
remember the name of the monastery.
We went to restaurant every night. In Crete they serve lots of fish, but i love fish, so thats fine. The servants over there are very friendly, sometimes too friendly, if you are a little girl with blond hair.
On Crete there was a lot of homeless dogs asnd cats. Every nigth, when we went on restaurant, i had some leftovers. So imagine, how I ran around and fed all the dogs and cats, and how happy they got.
Actually we lived outside Chania. Sometimes we went there. There was a
harbour with lots of nice cafees and restaurants. I remember especially
that I had a very tasty melonjuice and lots of delicious icecreams.
We stayed there for a fortnight. Then we flew back to Denmark, my homeland. lots of love from Louise, Denmark.

I will tell about this summer, ehere I was on Crete with my family. We
lived in a very nice hotel in the city Retynion on the north of the
island. We lived just to the shore of the Mediteranian Sea and we had a
very beautifull view from our rooms. During the daytime, the city was very cosy, but in the evenings there were a lot of people visiting bars and pubs. That could be rather noisy, if you tried to get some sleep.
The beach was very nice and there were plenty of activities. You could do paragliding, bananaskiing, drive on waterscooters and -of course- just
bathe and sunbathe, if you could call that for an activity.
There was also an old fortress in the city. It had been built during a
couple of years and was conquered by the Turks in 8 days. It was very
fascinating, and there was a view about the whole city from it. There was also a museum with lots of interesting things to look at.
But the fortress was nothing compared to the ancient king Minos' palace in Knossos. It was beautyfull and fascinating with its old paintings. The palace was in 5 floors and that was about 2000 B.C.! Here started the myth about the Miniotaurus.
Another fascinating place was the giant Samaria-Canyon- the largest canyon of Europe. Many people walk the 18 km through it, but we choose to drive to the edge of it.
There are also a lot of other stories to tell about Crete and there are fantastic views many places and the churches are beautyfull too. Crete is a very lovely island and there is always something for anyone.
Love,
Magnus.Rasch@skolekom.dk
We all gathered in Copenhagen Airport in Kastrup: me and about 25 other
boys and a couple of men and Nina, a supervising teacher.Everybody was
very exited: we were going on a choirtrip to Hong Kong to sing two
concerts. We, that is the Copenhagen Boys Choir. We travelled for about 11
hours, so it was very nice to arrive to Hong Kong Airport and meet our
hostfamilies. Me and three other boys from my class had to live with the
same family and they were very nice. They had a 4 floor-appartment and a
very big BMW. The father was the leader of SAS in the Far East, so he was
quite rich.
We came to our rooms. I lived with a guy called Carl-Oskar,
which was not a good mixture at that time: we were always picking at each
other, but that had changed since. Now we are quite good friends.
The first day we went to a theme park which I can't remember the name of,
but it was quite fun anyway. But the worst thing about Hong Kong is the
airpollution. It is about 98 % moisterness and that is a lot, if you are
used to a much lower concentration.
The next day we went for a swim in the ocean. The water was very green and
not very nice to look at, but it was great taking a bath anyway. Later
that day we heard from our host, that a three meter shark was spotted
about 40 km south from our bathing place. That was not so nice.
The next two days we almost didn't do anything else but singing, which
also was the reason for us to come to Hong Kong and we all liked it. But
we realy sang a lot.
After the concerts we dined at a very funny
restaurant. The next day- and now I am talking about the fourth day- we all went to a little island for sightseeing. It was very interesting to see some of Hong Kong's culture apart from the large city.
On the fifth day we went home. It was not a very long journey but a
memorable one. I think, it was the best journey , I have ever done in my whole life.
Magnus
Dear Magnus,
How are you doing? I'm Jesse. I am 10 years old. I've heard that

I have been in Germany in a town called Duisburg. It took us ten hours to get there. I Went to visit my cousins.
During that week I had a great time. I also went to the town for shopping. I bought a nice , red pencil and some cloths.
I also went to a very beautyfull park. There were so many flowers with
many different colours. I also tasted their ice-cream; it was delicious, and some german sweets. My cousins learned me a few german words, sentences like : " Hallo, ich heisse Funda und ich bin 12 Jahre alt. Every morning after breakfast me and my 2 cousins went with our bikes to a huge folltballfield, and waited for some large boys, who came each evening to play football.
In the evenings we had a barbaque in the backyard. The last day me and my family went shopping for the last time before our departure to Denmark.
When we drove home, I really missed my two cousins. I hope , they will
come to our place in Denmark to see the good sights of Copenhagen.

My vacation in Paris
The flight from Copenhagen to Paris is very short, so it was a very short
pleasure.
I should sit at the window, so it was funny that I could see Germany.
We lived in a hotel in the middel of the city, and I loved to it the sugar
from the hotel breakfeast.
Ther are many things to look at in Paris. The Eifel Tower, Notre Dame,
Louvre, the river Seine, with river steamer, and the Arc of Triomf.
One of the days we should go to the Eifel Tower. First we should go with
the Metro, and after that a very long walk, and it was very hard for my
little learks. on our trip we saw people washing the pavement. Finally I
could see the tower, that near we came. We saw the park and the
water-fountain too.
We took the elevator to the middle of the Eiffeltower; the people down on
the earth were very small. But there was so long a queue, so we didn't get
up to the top of the tower. Then we took the Metro home and went into a
restaurant.
The next day we should go to the museum Louvre , with the picture of Mona
Lisa. But I found it boring, so I left. The next thing we visited was
Notre Dame, the cathedral of Paris. It was a beautyfull church with candle
lights all over the place. Some people lit a candle for their dead friends
and famlily-members. And the big coloured glass windows in the church
flashed, when the sunlight shone through them. That was very nice.

When I was ten years old- I am 12 now- I was on Crete with my daddy and
his wife, Marianne, my friend Maria, her little brother Stephen adn their mother Vivian. On the plane to Crete Vivian had a fear of flying, so
Stephen had to sit besides her to keep her down. When we were up in the
air, Stephen came over and sat beside m eand my friend Maria. When we came
to Crete, we went to the hotel by bus. The view from the hotel was a great
one. The next day we rent a car and took up to the mountains and it was so
great up there, because all the people were so sweet towards us and it was
so beautyfull. There were many old churches and so many waterfalls.
The rest of the week we were down at the beach and then we had to go home again.

Your Friend,
Marie.Teisen@skolekom.dk When I was in France I donīt remember this holiday so much, itīs like a lot of pieces in my head, but if I think about it, they could be to one big puzzle. First we drove the whole way to France in a bus. We should live on a caravanplace in a tent we were together with some friends, we had all taken our bikes with us, so we drowe a lot. We came out to steep mountains, beatiful waterfalls and roar rivers. One day we saw some horses, (they were very sweet.) We gave them grass and they ate happily of it. Actually it was a little bit annoying, because it rained all most the whole time. I met some sweet girls on the caravanplace. I was together with them a lot. We bathed in a big river besides the tents. It was cold, but it was also very funny, because there was a strange current and a lillte waterfall. I also sailed in a canoe with my friends and another day with my famlily. We saw a big castle in the mountains. Long time ago it belonged to a woman called Josephine Baker, who used it as a childrenhome, but she died and left big debths. Later the castle was turned into a museum, and the next day we went to see it. That was rathe rexiting because we had met an old woman the other day and she had stayed at this orphant -home as a kid. She told us a lot about it.That night it was the national holyday in France, so the streets were filled with fireworks. The next day we went home by bus.
