Hi kids.

Hi my name is Heather Johnson and I know that almost all of you know what happened yesterday in the school in Colorado. I am writing this to find out your true feelings about the crisis .

My Feelings :
My feelings are that I think that we need to talk to our parents more about what goes on at school. We should tell the teachers if any-one you know has a wepon at school. I think we should settle our problems with words not violence.

Please write back

Heather Johnson

Dear Heather,

The sad news about the events in Colorado has reached us all by now. I'm sure I speak for all our friends on this project when I say that those families are in our thoughts and in our prayers.

Thank you for sharing your feelings with us.

My feelings about the shooting are that you should talk out your problems, instead of bringing weapons into your fears. I get picked on but I just try to talk them out and if I can't then I leave them alone. If they keep doing it than I go tell the teacher not to be a little tattle tail but so they will leave me alone. I move a lot so they can't pick on me long and I like that.

I feel that people with problems should not just let theean you will go and do something that you will not like. You can control what you do. I think all the parents should not have had to be punished for their child making fun of the boys.

My heart was broken because more people in America died. It was so terrible that children died, and they did not do anything wrong. If I was in this kind of situation I talk about it . I would not kill any one! God put us on this earth to be happy, and live a nice life until he is ready to take us. Well I think it this is all stupid.

My feelings about the tragedy in Littleton, Colorado are horrible because 15 kids were killed. If I were in the kind situation I would talk about it. It would not hurt.

A poem about my school:

sunny days and warm afternoons
people and love all around
by the teachers who educate us.

Here's how I felt about the shooting:

I had a nice day at my school then just after dinner I was horrified at what I saw. A so-called outcast called the the "TRENCH COAT MAFIA" two kids out of the mafia killed or wounded over twenty-five high school students. I felt like I was going to cry but so many innocent students had to die over something stupid. I would have talked it over. Well that's what I have to say about the shooting.

Dear Stephanie, Misty, Lindsay and Jasmine,

Thank you for sharing your feelings with us. All over the world your friends in Kidlink are thinking of you and thinking of your fellow Americans at Columbine High.

Columbine High has closed its website, but you can write to them if you want. Their address is:

Columbine High School
6201 South Pierce Street
Littleton, CO 80123
USA

If you feel like sending them your love I'm sure they would appreciate it. Do you know who Columbine is? Columbine was a pretty girl who was in love with Harlequin the clown. You might know them by another name, but when you see this picture you'll know who I mean: http://www.lycos.com/picturethis/arts/dance/206326.html

I think our friends in Cavriago probably know the story. Maybe they will tell us ;) Thank you again

Dear friends,

I know you are sad about what happened in Colorado this week. I have just heard that there is a Condolence Book at:

www.gohernando.com/columbine

and I thought maybe you would like to write in. A condolence book is where you can write some comforting words to the families who were affected by the shooting.
