The Third and Fourth Grade Class of The Galloway School in Houston, Texas cordially invites you to visit us for your Virtual Vacation. Why Houston? Here's Why!

Did you know in Houston, we have the eighth wonder of the world? The Astrodome!! The Astrodome was the first baseball stadium with a roof. At first it had real grass, but the panels in the roof let sunlight get to the players' face and they couldn't see. So they had to paint the panels and the grass died. Astroturf was invented. If you want to check out the Astrodome yourself go to

Also in the same pyramid as Mars there is a neat ride that makes you even feel like it's really happening. They also are building a new pyramid that will have all sort of sea animals. A letter from 09.04.99:

Hi Alan.

You have asked me why there are more people in the summer than in the winter. That’s because of the tourists, in the summer there are tourists all over, and in winter there are only Danish people. There are no mountains in Hvide Sande only dunes. I would like to visit you in Clear Lake, and see your land Texas.

Yours, Karen.
