Hi everybody, It's nice to see you all talking about your families and ancestors. Now we're going to talk about how life was in the past. The lessons are here: http://www.kidlink.org/kie/nls/english/roots/lesson3.html The picture of a soldier you can see on the lesson page is my grandfather's brother. His name was Ernest and he died in the First World War. Just before Christmas my uncle gave me Ernest's medals to look after. I think that was a very special present because we don't want to forget Ernest. By the way, I think he looks very handsome, don't you?;) Do you have anything that belongs to your ancestors? Maybe you have an old photo or something else? If so, tell us all about it, we'd love to hear from you.
Liz
