* What Are My  Rights?
Student Participation

The Kidlink Who-Am-I? Program
*

Hi everybody,

It was very quiet this week, wasn't it? (Except for Net-News and our friends in Delmar!) Where is everyone?!

This week we were going to discuss your rights in school. Here are some ideas for activities:

Did anyone discuss this? Did you forget to mail us?! I'd _really_ like to know what you think of the Math Anxiety Bill of Rights;)

Next week's activity in the Rights module is called "Making it Happen". There are lots of things you can do.

  1. Write your own Bill of Rights
  2. Make a collage showing the most important rights.
  3. Talk to other people in your school about childrens' rights. and lots more!
It's all here: http://www.kidlink.org/kie/nls/english/rights/lesson8.html

In "Friends and Families" we're talking about Celebrations. http://www.kidlink.org/kie/nls/english/friends/lesson5.html

It will soon be the Holidays. How do you celebrate? In your family? At school? Do you have Christmas or do you have something else? Maybe you want to write about:

  • Chanuka
  • The 3 Kings
  • Advent
  • The Japanese Emperor's Birthday
  • Kwanzaa
  • Diwali
Maybe you do something special at home. Something that only _your_ family does? In our house on Christmas Eve we have sausages and apple sauce and mashed potatoes. Nobody else in England does that. We do it because we used to live in Belgium and a lot of people there have this special meal on Christmas Eve. It's delicious!

best wishes,
Liz
