Hello everybody,
My name is Liz. I'm an adult helper with Kidlink. That means I'm not a teacher -
I'm just here to help out.
I've been looking at the work you've already done about Childrens' Rights.
You've all been working really hard!! Well done everyone!!
Have you all seen the website the students from Kvaerndrup made?
What do you think of it?
I think it raises some interesting questions. Here in England children can work
for a few hours a week when they are 13. They have to go to school too, of course!
We can leave school at 16 and get a full-time job. A lot of people stay at school
till they are 18.
Well, Kvaerndrup and Frisholm .... maybe you can tell us how old you have to be
before you can work in Denmark. Is it 13 like it is here?
And the children at Bridges. Is it the same in Argentina? Can you get an after-school
job when you are 13?

I see you have all been talking about your names. Did you ever ask your parents
why they picked your name?
When I asked my mum she told me an interesting story. My full name is
Katharine Elizabeth and I am the 5th Katharine in my family - sort of.
My mum is Katharine, her aunt was Kathleen, my great grandmother was Catherine
and my great-great grandmother was Catherine too!
I like knowing that I have a name which has been in my family since 1840.
Do any of you have stories about your name?

Hi Maribel, Magali, and Rocio, (and all the kids on our list)
This is great! I'm very happy to see you all working so hard in the "What are my rights?" module.
Words connected with rights: Sunny life, lovely, living, generosity,
no lies, sharing, respect, justice, being together, fun, healthy, childhood.
Ahhh... these are excellent words. ;-) Tell us more about "generosity"
and how this is connected to "rights." Great ideas.

Wonderful!! Can we see your picture of the girl? Maybe your teacher can take a picture of it with a camera. If you don't have a scanner or digital camera you can send the photo to me. I will scan it for you. Just let me know. [We got the picture as you can see! -Patti]
What are these "special powers" you want her to have? ;-)
Hugs,
Patti
Hello! Generosity means when a person gives something or gives love to some other people. This makes us generous and gives us a special power to be a good human being We are sending a picture via E-mail tomorrow.
Bye
We are Martin, Matias and Sebastian and we have an example of violation of human rights: tha A.M.I.A. Some years ago, maybe the muslims or the catholics put a bomb in the A.M.I.A. building (an Israelite Association) in Buenos Aires. It exploded and a lot of people died and many were hurt. Hello Martin, Matias and Sebastian,
This is Liz again. This is a very good example of a violation of human rights.
Thank you very much for your contribution.
There are bombings in a lot of countries and for a lot of reasons. Can anyone
tell me why they think it is especially bad to bomb someone because of their
religion? (I know violence is _always_ bad, but I want to know what you all
think).

Hello kids in Argentina and Denmark,
Thank you for all of your very interesting messages. It will be enjoyable
to see you discussing "What are my rights?" and the "Who am I?" topics.
Keep up the great work! We have many things to learn from each other.
Look how far away from each other you are on the map. Have you located
each other's cities? Distance means nothing in our age of technology, yes?
Have fun in your discussions.
All the best,
