You must provide evidence that
stopping gambling
is important (to the politicians themselves).
Help increase public knowledge of the negative
effects of gambling, of the lies and manipulations that might seem to justify
gambling. Ideas:
find
Kidlink kids
living in countries permitting gambling, or in countries where a gambling
has recently ended. Listen to their personal stories. Good stories may be
of interest to your collaborators in the
journalists/writers
community. For example, they might combine good personal stories with dry
statistics of the number of kids against gambling to make a more readable
text or interview or show.
monitor what your local news say about gambling.
Check with alternative sources to see if the news is correct, or misleading
and manipulating. Contact the news media to have mistakes corrected, or complain
by sending an article to your local newspaper.
help your schoolmates get a clear idea of what
is happening. Your class or school magazine/newspaper may be an effective
means. Do not give up. We must fight together for a better world!
