Provide Evidence!

You must provide evidence that stopping
drug abuse is important (to the politicians themselves).

"The kinds of problems in our neighborhood are: People dealing drugs,
people going home killing there Wives then killing their selves. People are
also killing people’s lives for not doing nothing.", Takeisha, United States , 2003

Help increase public knowledge of the negative effects of drugs, of the lies and manipulations that might seem to justify drugs. Ideas:

find Kidlink kids living in countries producing drugs, or in countries where a drugs abuse has ended. Listen to their personal stories. Good stories may be of interest to your collaborators in the journalists/writers community. For example, they might combine good personal stories with dry statistics of the number of kids against drugs to make a more readable text or interview or show.
monitor what your local news say about drug abuse. Check with alternative sources to see if the news is correct, or misleading and manipulating. Contact the news media to have mistakes corrected, or complain by sending an article to your local newspaper.
help your schoolmates get a clear idea of what is happening. Your class or school magazine/newspaper may be an effective means. Do not give up. We must fight together for a better world!
