Marina Aizen
Argentina

Visual artist and a teacher, from Buenos Aires Argentina. I teach printmaking to adults and children. I enjoy so much to share my knowledge with them, because they make my teaching different each time. As a visual artist, I try to understand some things about inheritance and education too. I am writing my thesis about how education influenced us from 1950 to nowadays here in Argentina, with drawings, prints and collages.  I am very excited about this and I suppose I will finish it very soon.
I try now to enter in the illustration world, because drawing is my first love (printmaking is my degree, but without a pencil, I could not do anything). I also like to write and I will make a children´s book very soon, with my own words and images.  www.marina-aizen.com.ar
KidLink is a great project, and is a hope between the media and web wars. It is like pure air. I enjoyed to join here because I feel useful and I like to collaborate with anyone, so... well, here I am to help you, to share my thoughts and all my love. I am a positive person, and I think this is a good place for putting my good actions. I love working with children, because they always see the things easier than adults and are still creative enough to discover the beautiful side of the life in any moment or situation. They amaze us and surprise us every day.
I like languages. Nowadays I am learning yiddish because my grandparents couldn´t teach me themselves... It is difficult, I know, but, as a challenge, is exciting too, don´t you think?

TAN Huiying Lavinia  (Lav, Just call me Lav.)                                   Singapore

Born and raised in
Singapore
, Lavinia Tan is well-versed in the language of Singlish (Singapore's own brand of English), experienced to know that under-arm deodorant is a must in this humid tropical island, and that the world is her oyster if she'd stop trying to eat it with a squeeze of lemon.
She was raised single-handedly by her mother and doting grandmother, with an older sister who to date is her best audience of one. She is a mother to 3 beautiful cats that she cannot stop hugging. The furry ones on the other hand are a little lease enthusiastic about this.
She is madly in love with photography, design and advertising and works on a freelance basis as a portraiture photographer and has taught photography at a local university, SMU. She has recently contributed work to the online exhibition “Imagining Ourselves” organized by the International Museum of Woman. When she is not dabbling in any of these three areas with sincere hopes to improve her craft, she will be traveling the world as a travel show host bringing new sights and experiences to TV audiences around the world.
Currently she deeply entrenched in the world of advertising and at the recent local advertising awards show, the Creative Circle Awards 2006, she and her team walked away with 2 Gold, 5 Silver and 2 Bronze medals for their work.
“I have always loved working with kids because they provide me with a fresh perspective on the world. I have no idea how it happens but when I interact with kids, I feel completely re-energized and inspired. They make me feel like I can do just anything. I look forward to seeing the works of these young talents around the world Whoever said that kids should be only seen and not heard was absolutely wrong.”

I have been involved with Kidlink since May 2002 and I am manager for KidArt-Portugese. I love art in all kinds of expressions. I used to dance and teach Jazz and Tap in a Modern Dance School. It was a great time of my life where I was introduced to a very special person, my good friend Marisa Lucena. We work together for a long time there and now, once again, we are sharing great experiences in Kidlink. I have been learning a lot with all of you. I’ve worked for 20 years for a Brazilian TV Station as a librarian and for sure gave me a great cultural view. I love the kids and the way they discover and challenge the computer.

Domenico Filippini
Italy

I'm Domenico, an italian teacher. I have been teaching in a middle school since 1976. I'm very keen on mountaineering, too. If you wish, you can see my website about it at this link www.lemontagnedidome.com At my age (56 years old) I'm still very glad to do my job and I shouldn't change it at all.Unfortunately we live in a world with a lot of pollution and, besides, with many wars, with no freedom, with no justice: these things are not good for the rising generation. I can't be lazy and must face pollution. I believe in PEACE, in FREEDOM, in JUSTICE and in TOLERANCE, so I try to get my pupils and me to practise them with our friends and strangers.

I like to play GO and, I hope, I will be soon a professional player.  My sensei was the first professional GO player in Europe. In addition, I like dancing, acting and reading. I am journalist at the national broadcasting radio in Romania. I participated with my drawings about Olly, his family and his friends in the “Kid Team” project. I think KidArt is a good idea because, in my case, it developed my drawing on computer and in tempera.
