Want To Translate One More?

Ryan (14), USA

Translate snapshot.html . It explains to visitors how Kidlink works. Pretty important, right? Let's take it step by step:
1 Storing the English language page on your disk
This should be easy. You already have the c:\english\general\ directory on your disk. No fuss.
2 Choosing a web editing tool Also done.
3 Handling your language's special characters, if any. Done.
4 Translating the text. Nothing special. Straight ahead. The images are easy, too. - Actually, you can do the footer much faster if you just open your translation of overview.html in your browser, mark off the area from the beginning of the colored line above the search field, and down to under the logo, and then click Edit | Copy. Go back to your translation of snapshot.html, mark the same area, and paste the text from your previous translation. Just the date must be changed.
5 Translating links. -  Many of these links may not be available in your language yet, so links must go to the English language page. Remember to include the <A HREF="/ in your search to avoid problems with the image links.
6 Making sure images are displayed - This page also has the colored line, and the logo. You may check the image links to see if they are OK. Personally, I have become an expert of copying from one translation to the other..
7 Having your translation posted at www.kidlink.org
Easy. You're a veteran now. Why not translate some of  the other pages waiting for you ;-).
Thank you very much!
