Translating Links

Use relative web addresses!

By Alice from Italy

Do not change the links (URLs) in your translation. We have an automatic system that
  1. Correct links on other translated pages that should point to the translated page rather than the page in English (in all folders)
  2. Correct links on the newly translated page that point to other pages that has been translated

First, it adds the new translation to a database of pages translated into this language. Then, it searches for the English language link to the page, and replaces it by the translated link. So, make sure the text of links is not touched. If they are changed in any small way, then they cannot be automatically corrected.
