Depending on how much you have
done, and what rights you have, this is what you should
do:
-
If you are just translating
the text
(not html), send to the person in charge of the area of which this page is
a part. If you do not know who that might be, ask
Odd de Presno where to
send it. When you know the recepient's email, send as an email, or an email
attachment. Others
will complete the translation by turning it
into a web page.
It is best to send your translated page as an
email attachment, using the same file name as the original. In the
text of your email, provide the full web address of the page you have
translated - so that we do not have to search to find out what page you have
translated. . Example: http://www.kidlink.org/english/general/overview.html
.
-
If you deliver the translation
as a web page, and do not have rights to store it on our web, send to
the person in charge of the area of which this page is a part. Send as an
email attachment.
Others will complete the web page, check links,
and post it to the web.
-
If you have rights to store
the translation to the web:
-
Use an FTP program to put the new
page to the appropriate directory. See
the
Webguide.
-
Try locate other translated pages
that should link to your newly translated page, and warn owners of these
pages about your new page and its link.
Hint: The dirinfo.html page in this directory might help. Make sure you tell
the language area manager about the new web address.
Next page:
Oh! Something must be
changed!
