Kidlink is owned
by users who are members of The
Kidlink
Society. The
Kidlink
Foundation is established to help The Society by handling its finances.
Membership in The Society
is open to any person or organization wishing to support its purpose and
goals. The dues paid by members
helps keep
Kidlink's activities
free for participants.
Being a member means
participating in the Society's Annual Meeting. The agenda typically contains:
[1] Election of meeting chairman, [2] Approval of the meeting agenda,
[3] Approval of last year's accounts,
[4] Election of new board members,
[5] Any
other business.
Discussions and votes
take place on a private mailing list for members only, and information is
shared between members through a private area on
Kidlink's web.
The meeting involves
people living geographically very far apart, and typically takes months to
complete.
