Use Good Page Titles !!
| When you search Google for information that
exists on our web, it will report the page's embedded title, and not
the headings that you have used inside the text itself.
Example: See the illustration above. Google found a page it claimed was named "From the teacher's perspective", though it's text title is "El projecte Qui Sóc Jo? des de la visió del professor". More examples directly from Google... When Google finds the page you're reading now, it will not report "Use Good Page Titles". It will report "Kidlink: dette er en idiotisk TITLE" . You may discover this text in the ribbon at the very top of your web browser's screen. If you want people to find your web page, it must have a title that explains its contents well, and in the language used on the page. Also, it is a good rule to start all titles with "Kidlink:". The best title for the page you're reading now might be: "Kidlink: Use good page titles!!" |
