Make A Top Menu Template |
| A "template" is a place on your disk holding
the codes you just added to the first page so that they can easily - and
safely - be added to other pages in this directory. The "template" will save
you time, and frustrations!
Look at the familiar picture of the initial html of the first page. Chances are that all pages in this directory will have the same html code beginning. Your job now is to copy the code we just included on the first web site. But first, post the page to our web, and check if all top menu links are correct! When satisfied, mark the area to be copied:
Copy and paste the codes into a plain text file, using either Notepad or Write. Save as a txt file. Click here to see what I saved on my disk. Note: Do not save as html because FrontPage will change the codes when you try to copy from a web page to another page's html! Personally, I use FlashPaste to be able paste these codes faster into web pages. This method has proven to be very productive. Next step: Update the other pages in the directory. Don't forget to check <TITLE> and <DESCRIPTION>s. |
