| "Web Editor Software" is a program used to make web
pages. The most commonly used programs around
Kidlink are
FrontPage, NetScape, Dreamweaver, MS Word, and AOLPRESS.
If you do not have such a program yet, note that Netscape may be retrieved for free from their site. The last time we looked, we found it under "Tools" in the left column. AOLPRESS is also free. Click at aolp20-3.exe to download from our site. The file is 3.6 mb with file creation date 24-03-97, and is safe to retrieve and install. If you have a choice between several tools, we would strongly recommend that you use FrontPage, NetScape, or AOLPRESS as the other options sometimes give us problems. Please, do not use MS Word. It tend to add a large number of unneeded codes to web pages that are very hard to remove, and pages written in MS Word are consequently rather big. |
